The state of Alaska has many remote parcels available for “over-the-counter-land sales” at http:dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/landsale/otc/. The process is not hard. Once on the site you select the region you are looking for a parcel. You then identify the one you want, check a few buttons and you are taken to the purchase screen where you can use your credit card to make the purchase. You can also submit a paper application to purchase the parcel.
